What does it take to live a great life? What is your picture of a great life? Many times we have an image of what the great life “looks like” yet when we arrive (if we ever do) it’s not what we thought it might be. IT usually is an illusion that doesn’t fulfill us. In today’s post please listen to the audio message and follow the outline below; there are three reminders on how to live a great life. Also, if today’s post was encouraging please share it with a friend and leave a comment below.
“THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THEM AFTER THOSE DAYS,” SAYS THE LORD: “I WILL PUT MY LAWS UPON THEIR HEART, AND ON THEIR MIND I WILL WRITE THEM,” He then says, “AND THEIR SINS AND THEIR LAWLESS DEEDS I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE.” Hebrews 10:16-17
You might not have said “I want to live an AWESOME LIFE” but I doubt if anyone has ever said “I want to live a Boring life”
3 Reminders for Living a Great Life:
Reminder 1: Accept the Better Sacrifice
Hebrews 10:1 (NASB)
For the Law, since it has only a shadow of the good things to come and not the very form of things, can never, by the same sacrifices which they offer continually year by year, make perfect those who draw near.
Hebrews 10:10 (NASB)
By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Reminder 2: Live with Confidence not Condemnation
Hebrews 10:18 (NASB)
Now where there is forgiveness of these things, there is no longer any offering for sin.
Romans 8:1 (NASB)
Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Hebrews 10:22 (NASB)
let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
Hebrews 10:23 (NASB)
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful;
Hebrews 10:24 (NASB)
and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds,
Philippians 2:3-4 (NASB)
Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; 4do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.
Hebrews 10:25 (NASB)
not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.
Reminder 3: Own Your Decision
Hebrews 10:35-36 (NASB)
Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.
Don’t throw away your confidence
Love God (With all your heart mind and soul)
Reflect on His commitment
Help others grow spiritually
Grow deep Connections with the church (not building)
One Last Thought…
