The up & down life of a small business owner.
Some days I need the COLD HARD Facts given to me to “recalibrate” my brain toward truth.
On other days I feel down and need a word of encouragement to keep grinding.
What keeps me moving forward?
There are several skills I have learned through the years, and I am actually working on a more extended series of blog posts (and a potential book). However, today I want to share one tip that has brought me through the good and bad times of being a small business owner.
Grab your Bible and a Journal
Read one chapter of Proverbs and one Psalm daily, then journal about what you read.
When you journal, apply the message of the Psalm and Proverb to your life.
Psalm is the sugar, while Proverbs is the medicine.
Psalm is a series of prayers that we can use today to cry to God for help when we feel down (Like the 23rd Psalm).
Proverbs are the COLD HARD FACTS that we need to hear to recalibrate our thinking on various topics:
LOVE and SEX
MONEY
FRIENDS and RELATIONSHIPS
WISDOM and FOOLISHNESS
LIFE GROWTH
I return to these two biblical books regularly, and every time I read them, I come away with just what I need for my day.
