CHALLENGES
Life, everyday life, brings countless challenges.
Romans 5:3-5 (NLT) – We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment.
3 Tactics for Facing Challenges Well
Tactic 1: Avoid Denial
Don’t deny or try to avoid life’s challenges. Face them. Choose to live in reality and face your challenges head-on. “The best way out is through.” Robert Frost
Tactic 2: Recruit an Expert
The wisdom that got you into the challenge will not get you out. So, recruit an expert. I’m a life coach, and others coach me (business, legal, financial, etc.). I’m an expert in relationships and leadership, but not everything; therefore, I have to go to experts when I have challenges in areas of weakness.
Tactic 3: Create a Plan
“Begin with the end in mind.” Stephen Covey
What does the end of your challenge look like? Start there and clearly state what your vision of the future looks like. Then, work backward and create your plan forward. Talk to your experts and ask them what worked for them when they faced similar challenges that you’re dealing with. Then, schedule a reminder to regularly review your plan (and progress) (weekly or daily if necessary).
