Three Signs of a Toxic Person
I LOVE MY COACHING PRACTICE, AND I LOVE MY CLIENTS!
It’s a joy to work with every one of them!
However, there is a character type that I find nearly impossible to work with; it’s the toxic person. I have a good screening process, so I don’t encounter them too often. Nevertheless, anyone can become toxic in their character if the setting is right, our emotional heart is wounded, or we are in isolation. But how do you know if you are with a toxic person?
Here are three signs that might reveal the presence of a toxic individual.
- They BLAME others for their negative behavior, attitude, or feelings.
- They don’t DEVELOP their character (i.e., connecting well with others, personal boundaries and identity, living in reality, and personal responsibility).
- They are ANTI-CONFRONTATIONAL; they avoid confrontation with others and refuse to listen or show up when an ally needs to talk to them.
Being around a toxic person is LIFE DRAINING.
Limit your exposure to them and learn to set boundaries when you have to be with them.
