LETTING GO
Responsibility is a powerful concept. Adulthood requires us to live at a high level of personal responsibility.
Yet, the God of the Universe is for us and is THERE for us.
Something powerful happens in life when we are fully responsible and, at the same time, let go and let God.
Proverbs 1:7 (NLT) Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.
Letting Go in our relationship with God is the ability to submit to His power and guidance in our life.
To submit means we come under God’s authority and let go of our right to… whatever.
It’s a dance with the creator of the universe, and He wants to dance with us. He takes the lead, and we follow through.
How To Know When to Let Go
Does your success depend on you and you alone?
Do you neglect rest and personal health?
Are you quick-tempered and irritable toward others?
Do you tend to isolate?
Let Go
Stop striving and let God lead you.
How to Let Go
Pray and meditate, talk to God about everything in life and learn to ask Him for help.
Be still, practice doing nothing (this is for the workaholics). Be still and reflect on what God is doing now in your life, the country, and the universe.
Ask for feedback from those who know you. Feedback is powerful; it is a way to demonstrate that we don’t have ALL the answers and that we CAN submit to the wisdom of others.
Be responsible, work smart, and rest. To let go doesn’t mean we stop being responsible. NO. We keep being responsible at high levels and learn to balance our time.
